The Lr³ Citizen Science Initiative (CSI) invites patrons to join us at Long Caye, Lighthouse Reef Atoll — a living museum of nature and science on the outskirts of the Belize Barrier Reef. Visit us to recharge, explore, and quietly make a difference.
How It Works
1. Become a Patron
Contribute at the Champion level or above to support field operations, biodiversity research, and reef resilience at Lighthouse Reef Atoll. Or purchase CSI 2026 event tickets.
2. Complete the CSI Adventure Form
Select your preferred experiences.
3. Schedule Your Visit
After your donation, we’ll contact you directly to plan every detail of your Citizen Science adventures. As a Citizen Scientist, you’ll work alongside our team to collect data, monitor wildlife, and protect the reef in real time.

Welcome to Lr³ Citizen Science Adventures, where your journey is more than exploration — it is meaningful contribution. Set on the edge of the Great Blue Hole at Lighthouse Reef Atoll, our living museum blends the thrill of adventure with real-world conservation.
Whether you are kayaking through mangrove tunnels, free-diving for queen conchs, spotting sharks on a snorkel, or mapping turtle tracks at dawn, you will join our team in active research and reef protection.
While most visitors simply dive or paddle, we expand these activities into immersive Citizen Science experiences. From Wendy’s Lab at Lr³, choose guided or self-paced adventures tailored to your interests — solo, with friends, or as a family.
With your sponsorship, you get direct access to our planning team, who will help shape every detail of your experience. As a Citizen Scientist, you become part of the mission — collecting data, monitoring wildlife, and protecting the reef in real time.
Though Lr³ is a remote outpost, it is not without comforts. Enjoy select off-grid luxuries as you live and learn in this unique intersection of science, sustainability, and serenity.
