Join us for an exciting half-day adventure on Long Caye at Lighthouse Reef, where you will uncover the hidden world of insects that inhabit this unique island ecosystem. Using photography and location mapping, you’ll document a variety of species and contribute to our ongoing research efforts.

Island Bug Safari is a hands-on citizen science adventure that invites participants to explore the diverse insect life of Long Caye. Equipped with cameras and observation tools, you will traverse different microhabitats, from coastal forests to sandy dunes, capturing images and marking the locations of fascinating insect species. This interactive experience is perfect for nature enthusiasts, families, and aspiring entomologists looking to engage in a fun and educational activity while contributing valuable data to Lr³’s biodiversity research.

Itinerary:
