Safeguard a Natural Treasure
When someone becomes a Legacy Benefactor, they’re not just supporting research, they’re stepping forward as a hero for an entire country, protecting its most precious natural asset. Together, we defend Lighthouse Reef and its people from unchecked developers, poachers, and the weight of tourism.
Whether it’s funding new labs, renewable systems, or coral programs, or co-hosting donor events and expanding our reach, Legacy Benefactors help build lasting capacity for reef protection. Their impact is recognized through naming opportunities, on-site acknowledgment, and firsthand engagement with the scientists and stewards shaping the future of Lighthouse Reef.
Something real. Something lasting.

Legacy Benefactor Program
Starting Contribution: $12,000 and above
The Legacy Benefactor Program unites visionaries, individuals and organizations committed to science, stewardship, and collective action to protect one of the last wild reef systems on Earth. More than donors, Legacy Benefactors are long-term allies in preserving Lighthouse Reef Atoll as a sanctuary for biodiversity, research, and future generations. Their support underpins everything Lr³ accomplishes.

Participation in the program takes three primary forms:
1. Benefactors
Individual donors or families who provide direct financial support to sustain infrastructure, research, and program delivery at Lighthouse Reef.
2. Partners
Companies, foundations, or aligned institutions that contribute financial or in-kind support, such as funding for specific programs, materials, or collaborative initiatives.
3. Fundraising Partners
Individuals or organizations that take an active role in building financial support networks—by organizing events, engaging new donors, and expanding the visibility of Lr³’s mission.
Together, Legacy Benefactors form a vital alliance for the long-term resilience of Lighthouse Reef.
